Splotch was out shopping with Magix and Mub. Splotch loved going to the shops with Magix, but today was a little different because Mub had come along with them. Usually Mub stayed at home with Papi, but not today.

“Why?” asked Splotch, “Why do fish swim all the time? Why don’t they go onto land and walk?” Splotch was asking Papi so many questions. “And why do cows give us milk and not juice? Why?” Splotch was feeling curious. She wanted to understand things and know how her world worked.

Splotch was painting a picture. She enjoyed painting a lot andwanted to be an artist one day. Splotch had been busy painting for a longtime, concentrating and choosing colours with care. She wanted to give herpainting to Papi and Magix so they could hang it up on their bedroom wall.
