L is for … Lonely

Shaper was feeling lonely. His best friend had moved away and he felt like he didn‘t fit in at school. All the other children still had their best friends and Shaper felt left out. He wished his best friend hadn’t moved away.

The other children were friendly enough, but he didn‘t feel special with them. It felt worse when the teacher told them to choose a partner because Shaper was always the odd-one-out. He didn‘t have a partner and then had to join in with two other children. He felt they didn‘t really want him to join in. They would’ve preferred Shaper to join another group. Continue Reading »

X is for… Xenophobic (not liking people who are different from you)

When Shell first met Beesly, she didn‘t like her very much — even though now they are best friends!

Beesly came from the northern part of Planet Star-Burst, a place called the Hive. Most of the inhabitants of the Hive looked like bees andwere different from the Freaky family, who lived down south. Not only did they look different, but they sounded different too because they spoke a different language, and they tended to hum a lot, like bees do, and they liked to eat honey. Continue Reading »
